【王翊亘／台中報導】中華職棒冠軍賽第1戰，原本膠著的投手戰，卻在7局下風雲變色。統一趁著義大更換先發投手馬克退場，單局敲出7支安打，鄧志偉更敲出3分砲，一口氣攻下8分，統一終場就以10比7擊敗義大，拿下第1場勝利。
 
統一代總教練陳連宏賽後說：「這場比賽能贏球，關鍵的Play很多，但陳鏞基在6局下的追平安打，是士氣倒向我們原因。」陳連宏更稱讚陳鏞基，9局上統一陣腳大亂時，義大8棒方克偉擊出的內野滾地球，雖然有不規則彈跳，他卻處理得相當完美。
 
陳鏞基本場比賽4打數2安打貢獻3分打點，奪下冠軍賽第1戰的MVP (Most Valuable Player，最有價值球員)。
