洪仲丘枉死禁閉室案件引發民怨沸騰之際，有網友在網路爆料，海軍陸戰隊66旅營區內不僅有「豪華招待所」，而且該營區的少將參謀長還在軍中發生重大傷亡事件後，在值勤期間到招待所內公然飲酒。海軍司令部發布新聞稿澄清，此為陸戰隊指揮部指揮官102年1月底於「左營」忠誠營區莒光樓宴請國軍醫院醫務人員，並非「龜山」，網友為不實爆料。

根據電子媒體報導，網友smyou1314（sm你一生一世）在網路PO文表示，「海軍陸戰隊66旅營區內不僅有『豪華招待所』，而且該營區的少將參謀長還在軍中發生重大傷亡事件後，在值勤期間到招待所內公然飲酒.....某位黃姓士兵慘遭戰車輾斃，事情發生以後，軍隊士氣低迷，指揮官便偷偷宴請了806的幾位高階軍醫到此招待所內吃鐵板燒飲酒作樂好不開心等。」

針對媒體引述網友爆料報導，海軍司令部19日晚發布新聞稿表示:「經查本屬陸戰隊指揮部指揮官102年1月底於忠誠營區莒光樓宴請國軍醫院醫務人員，感謝對陸戰隊官兵的醫療照護與部隊衛勤教育之協助，餐會係屬公務範疇。另該部參謀長短暫前往餐敘會場向貴賓致意後，即返回辦公處所。本部已指派督察長室專案調查，若有違失即依規定懲處。」
