【於慶中／綜合外電報導】華人世界有燒紙紮給過世亡者的習俗，現在事事講求誇張的中國，連燒紙紮給先人都要和人比大，竟有人燒了一間一比一實物大的紙紮屋給先人，燒的時候還引來消防隊待命。但專家表示，燒這麼大的屋子給先人，不見得讓他們住得舒服，反而會累壞他們。

香港堪輿學家麥玲玲表示：「就像是燒紙衣時，物件下去陰間後會變大，錢的面額也都會變大」，所以燒大屋可能反而不好：「我聽過一些傳聞，邵氏武打巨星傅聲過世時，好友施明知道他愛狗，就找人紮了一隻一比一大小的狗燒給傅聲，沒想到傅聲拖夢給施明卻問她為什麼給他燒了一隻馬。」原來是紙紮狗下到陰間後會變大，變得像一匹馬一樣，所以祭品不一定大便是好。
